You have choose a battery with a good capacity, bigger is impossible at home! 3,5kg lead?!
Raspberry and Durio should absorb 1.5-2A max (I suppose, no measure) and 4-5 hours of working is the time I expect.
I think that battery isn’t a good solution, not very convenient charge it at home every 2-3 times you listen music and you must choose e sealed one to avoid poisonous gas during charge.
As I have already written use a DC switching wall plug 9V or 12V should be the same, because lmz14202h is a switching chip and has the same interference of wall plug.
I’m using a 12V DC wall plug and I have no battery to make a comparison, if someone can do it should be intersting…

My battery is free maintenance battery which is made in Vietnam. This type of battery is usally used for UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply).

Thank you wesleywong, but we are talking about Durio Sound PRO version.
Powered by 9-12V DC directly to Durio Sound board input, not 5V from micro USB raspberry input.

Ah… My bad. For DC to work, it must only be between 9-12V? If so, can we use LiPo 3s batteries used for radio control cars?

Sorry if this is a stupid question - I just got my dual mono today and I have a power adapter for the Durio board.

Do I also need to power up the Pi or does it get its power from the Durio sound?

You only need to power one device, pi or durio.n never power both on same time

Hey Weslley - the unit arrived today and it looks pretty simple to assemble - just stack the boards on top using the spacer columns. It looks like it has a couple of jumpers already configured.

Hi George, the assembly is straight forward. However, I’m wondering how this can be a dual mono setup. Do I attach one RCA to one board only? For eg… RCA left goes on Pro, RCA right on Basic? Regardless I thought sound would come out through any pairs anyway, even the 3.5mm line out.

Any ideas?

Durio Sound Pro owners, here the suggested power set up directly from Durio web site.

DC
DC wall adapter, 9V, 2A with a small DC plug, 1.4mm jack, would be best.

AC
User can also build his own PSU, e.g. with AC transformer only.
Customer could use an AC transformer, 6V AC out (becomes up to 9V DC), max. 9…12V AV (not 15V, too high after DC).
50VA at least (100VA might be suggested for RPi + DAC, 50VA should be enough).
If Toroid or not: people say often for audio it is better (for sure). But it powers also the RPi, not a real difference.
And: the high voltage input, power cord, fuse … all at your own risk.

Looking for a 9v 2a online - I can’t find one with the 1.4 mm plug - one is available with a 1.35 mm plug.is that close enough? Can someone point me to where I can purchase one?
