I’m running Volumio x86 and an Xmos usb to i2s device. It is auto-configured as X20 but cannot be used bit-perfect as the mixer options will not allow volume control to be disabled.
The ‘Mixer Type’ gives options for Hardware, Software or None. If I select None then the "Mixer Control Name’ changes from "Xmos Clock Selector’ to "none’ and there is no output at all.
Other players (Logitech Media Server, Moode, PiCoreplayer, Archphile, all allow the volume control to be disabled.

On the playback tab there is a montage of album covers in the middle. Short of taping a square of paper over the screen 
how can I remove this for a less 'busy ’ appearance ?
