x86 ALC 269

Hi everyone,

I’m setting up another Volumio streamer. I’ve been so pleased with my first implementation that I’ve decided to ditch all my chrome cast audios and go all Volumio. For my bedroom system, I’m using an old Acer 1410 netbook which has spdif out via the miniplug. The output device comes up as only Intel HDA.

aplay -i hangs, which is weird, aplay -l outputs:

**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: ALC269 Analog [ALC269 Analog]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 1: ALC269 Digital [ALC269 Digital]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

I was hoping to be able to use device 1. None of the devices show up in the gui. I’ve messed around unsuccessfully messing with .conf files, but am getting nowhere.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

yes, this is due to the fact that we did not have an alsa-controller profile for your Intel onboard HD Audio yet.
But from the information you supplied, I was able to create one which will be included in the next x86 build.
No estimated due date yet, so please don’t ask.

Thanks so much! I have a pile of old netbooks with this hd audio controller that I would like to use in a hole house audio setup. This will be really helpful!
