Which dac analog or digital?

Hello,
I’m buying a new amp (AUDIOLAB 6000a) with an internal DAC.

Which kind of DAC for raspberry do you recommend? I can use digital or analog with the new amp, there are some differences regarding the audio quality?

Candidates:
For the digital version:
HIFIBerry DIGI+ PRO
ALLO DigiOne

For the analog version:
HIFIBerry DAC 2 HD
ALLO the Boss

Do you have other pi hat to suggest?

P.s. I have a flac archive to reproduce.

Hello
I use the Allo Boss and I am extremely satisfied.
I also recommend using ultra low noise power supplies. e.g. ifi-Audio iPower.
There are also very low-noise power supplies from Allo, but I cannot report any experience.

Thank you!

i will take a look. Without a low noise power supplies, the noise are too much?

That depends on your requirements.
I like it better with an ultra low-noise power supply. More fine details, better spatiality, with live recordings, better atmosphere, the voices are more real, etc.
Simply much more real and better.

The Audiolab 6000a is a well reviewed amp and the integrated ESS9018 dac chip is a good circuit (it still needs a good implementation by audiolab to make it work well and I haven’t seen a review where this has been properly evaluated). If the ESS9018 has been well integrated in the amplifier it is unlikely that a Raspberry PI HAT dac will beat it and the digital solution you propose is probably best with less susceptibility to digital noise etc.
