Volumio with RPi and 10 inch touchscreen - has it been done?

I’m working on a project, and want to use a 10 inch touch screen display (or 10.1 inch) with the Volumio touchscreen integration. Has anyone done this? What did you use if you did? How well does it work? Thanks!

I use the Waveshare 10.1" IPS screen (HDMI + USB). Works great, except that a mouse cursor is shown after touching the screen.
