Sorry to post new topic but I’m stuck (like many others have been) setting up AirPlay.
Shairport-sync is installed but service isn’t running. When I try and start, I get the “Failed to start shairport-sync.service: Unit shairport-sync.service failed to load: No such file or directory.”
I’m not great with Linux and haven’t found fixes specific for the Pi so could someone please confirm how to move or reinstall into the correct location?
Can someone assist please?
I tried reinstalling using;
git clone github.com/mikebrady/shairport-sync.git
autoreconf -i -f
./configure
make
sudo make install
sudo systemctl enable shairport-sync
but still get: Failed to execute operation: No such file or directory
I’m trying, I really am. I guess I was wrong to think this would work “out of the box”. Forked-daapd works fine on another Pi with AirPlay but I love the clean web interface of Volumio. I even bought the Android app!
