Touch Screen Plug-in & HDMI

I can’t seem to get the Touch Screen Plug-in to work with HDMI on the new version (2.310). My mouse will activate the monitor but the only thing displayed is :

Raspbian GNI/Linux 8 office tty1
office Login:

The plug-in worked great in the previous version (2.296)

Any idea how to get the GUI to display?

On another issue; auto-update didn’t show an available update even though it is listed on the start page, so I did a clean install.

I’ll investigate, thanks for reporting

Just searching out and find this topic. I am facing the same issue after 4 years LOL. It looks the problem from booting when HDMI cap connect to PI.

Some more information needed

What hardware are you using, i.e. Pi model, brand and exact model name of the display?

What is your Volumio version?

What version of the Touch Display plugin is installed?

Is the plugin enabled?

Do you see any error messages coming from the plugin?

Sorry, I don’t understand. Could you please try to phrase it differently?

Thanks. I’s ready figured out just by missing the cab, it request 1 for power, 1 for touch and 1 for HDMI. My case is PI 4 & 7" touch screen Waveshare with case.

What is meant by “Cab”?

Usually the Waveshare needs the HDMI-connection and just one USB-connection for power and touch pad.

I was wondering the same thing. Possibly “cable” was meant. But since the problem seems to be solved…

It is typo, cable is correct. It need 1hdmi, 1usb for touch and 1 for power.
