Just wanted to share my basic Pi Zero build using HifiBerry DAC and whatever I could find lying around.
I’m pretty much a noob, Including at woodwork as is obvious but wanted to show that anyone can make a half decent streamer without special knowledge.
I’m super happy with Volumio for running Spotify, Radio and USB stick files.
The Pi Zero W + Volumio is an amazing platform. I use mine with a tiny mono DAC/Amp to turn old speakers from a dead 5.1 system into smart portable streaming speakers around the house. The whole lot is so small it fits inside the existing speaker case!
