I had problems getting my new volumio release appearing in airplay, I manually updated shairport to 3.1.4 and that resolved the problem for me.
3.1.4 also includes a security update.
Would you mind updating this for the next release?

I had older volumio2 version in Pi and upgrade was stuck. After downloading latest PI image on SD (and donating …) the Airplay functionality is gone. I have error with port already used:
volumio@volumio:~$ shairport-sync -V
3.0.2-OpenSSL-Avahi-ALSA-soxr-metadata-sysconfdir:/etc
volumio@volumio:~$ Could not establish a service on port 5000 – program terminating. Is another instance of Shairport Sync running on this device?

According to preceding post Airplay is back with latest shairport-sync version.
Tried to follow instructions on github.com/mikebrady/shairport- … PDATING.md to update.
This may be the wrong way - Apparently specific OS commands like autoreconf do not work - stuck with installation.
I do not want to compile - just run. Is there another way to update / install shairport-sync ?
