RPI update to kernel 4.1 ?

Hello,

rpi-update now only propose the 4.1 kernel, no other support is thus provided for the 3.X ones.

thus security upgrades will not be proposed anymore for the old kernels for PI.

has the kernel 4.1 been tested with volumio ?

Yes, but 4.1 breaks some i2s DAC playback (same old story)…

Volumio2 already uses 4.0.6, and will be released with that kernel (or 4.1 if i2s DAC issue is solved and no other are found).

good to know, is it possible to beta test V2?

I upgraded the kernel so far so good, but launching X freeze it to death…
