Rotary Encoder KY-040 - which GPIO-Pins are available?

InnoMaker Raspberry Pi HIFI DAC HAT PCM5122 (recognized as ALLO BOSS)
remotePI (with the GPIO17 mod)

I want to use a 5pin Rotary Encoder named WayinTop KY-040:
CLK GPIO23
DT GPIO25
SW GPIO22
3,3V
Ground

Rotary Encoder Plugin is installed.

Will this work? I would like to control volume +/- and Start/Stop by pushing the knob down.

Managed it already.

  • volume, play/pause and prev/next works
  • 2nd rotary encoder no button action possible (I wanted mute) - maybe wrong GPIO
  • 2nd rotary no 3,3V attached

hello, does the same thing work somehow on Volumio 3.xx but with KY-040?
