I am using a NOS (16/44) dac and is it better to let Volumio do the downsampling ie set to 16/44 or let the dac do it?
the dac won’t do it, it’s expecting a redbook cd standard signal and i’m not sure what will happen if you give it more bits to deal with.
you will need to set volumio to output everything at 16:44100:2
