Hey y’all. Volumio 1.41 runs flawlessly on my Model B, even with a library closing in on 10,000 tracks.
My goal is to make Volumio the center of my car stereo. I was planning to use an old Android to control it over wifi, but that has proven far more difficult than I anticipated. My new idea is to have the Volumio Pi hidden away in the dashboard, connected via ethernet to another Pi with a touchscreen running a web browser. One advantage of that particular screen is the built-in physical buttons, which means access to basic controls without taking one’s eyes off the road.
Anyone have success with using the Pi’s browser to control Volumio? What should I expect for performance? Thanks!
