I think I have found the bug and fixed it:

I am able to search for videos, playlists and channels by their ID (whole URL will be supported in next version!). The found playlists can be added to the queue as you can see in the screenshots above. Do you want to verify that the bug is fixed? But be warned it will be some effort to test it. You have to uninstall the plugin first and install a development version that I will send you as zip file. And because it is a development version it may be not that stable yet.

Just let me know. Otherwise the bug fix will be part of the next release of the plugin.

Iā€™ve looked for the answer to my question everywhere but didnā€™t found it. Whatā€™s the default quality of the stream from Youtube ? Is it max HD by default ? Is there a way to configure it ?

sorry, I didnt saw your questions.

Per default we use the highest available quality. At the moment you cannot configure this. I think this fits to everybody using volumio and youtube.

Hello,
New on volumio, I download your plugin Youtube. And first of all, thanks for your development.
I create a playlist Youtube on volumio by UI
But itā€™s impossible to add or insert a playlist Youtube directly (like this one find by search mode = commercial music)
Also impossible to add any song to playlist Youtube

The only way I found is to add to queue with UI and after, in ssh mode, copy the content I want of the file /data/queue into the /data/playlist/Youtube file

Is it normal in this version or I have a problem of installation or permission ?

Yes, it should be available in the plugin manager.

Well, currently this is not supported by volumio itself and therefore we cannot add support for it in our plugin. We will fix this in volumio directly and then it will be available for the youtube plugin too. :slight_smile:

i saw it was 2.163 installed and volumio found ā€œno updatesā€ and i thought that was the newest version.
anyway i make a clean install with the current version and now everything is fine.

Sorry for the late answer.
Iā€™m not actively working on the plugin anymore and sla should be your reference point.

Anyways, have you changed the default password for user ā€œvolumioā€?
If Iā€™m not mistaken, the default password (ā€œvolumioā€) is hardcoded into the plugin installer and changing it will cause plugins not to install correctly.

I think someone is working on that and will fix it soon, in the meanwhile, if you have changed the password for user ā€œvolumioā€ to something other than ā€œvolumioā€ you could roll it back and that should fix your problem!

I think it has nothing to do with the plugin itself but with your system configuration.

These lines say that you have authentication problems:

Have you tried to install any other plugin like spotify or so?
