Low volume for some radios -how to debug

Optical cable to dac
Latest Volumio

All radios which came with Volumio are working fine. Most of what I add working fine.

There is one particular streaming source (open.fm streams, e.g.
stream.open.fm/20 )
That has low volume level and IMHO missing low tones on my setup. Same links opened in browser play fine.

How to debug this?

Similar setup (but coaxial cable), same result, that radio sounds wrong. Playing from command line on the RPi (with “mpc”) sounds equally bad, other radios are ok. Playing from the PC (with “mplayer”, USB to same DAC), sounds fine.
