First thank’s for this application.
At the time I am using Volumio 1.55 on a PI2 and it works without problem. I am mainly listening Jazz from files stored on a NAS and internet radio.
I tried to upgrade to the latest version (2.001) but after several trials I could not get it running. I have burnt different SD card from different downloads without success after waiting more than 10 minutes after power up. The Pi doesn’t answer to the ping. I reverted to version 1.55 and everything is Ok.

It was no problem with version 2.001., I was just using the wrong IP.
