Add the option,or make it default, to keep wireless network details and reset everything else so that you don’t need to plug into your router to re-enter your WiFi credentials.
Can’t you access the hotspot on your mobile phone instead of plugging into router?
Thanks for that tip - connecting to the hotspot from my laptop works. I don’t have a smart phone of my own - just an old style, nice and small, GU230 whose battery lasts a week or more. I struggle to get a decent connection from WiFi upstairs to my Pi3 so the library is on a few large USB sticks. Reading around this is no surprise and down to the fairly weak built in WiFi, probably made worse by being in “the shadow” of a Kali and DAC.
