Enable tap-to-click on netbook touchpad

I am running Volumio 2.164 on an Acer AOA110-aw netbook. Is it possible to enable tap-to-click for the touchpad when accessing the Volumio GUI on the local screen? Thanks.

I think you need to do a search for the appropriate drivers for your netbook touchpad (Debian Jessie i386): there may or may not be support.

Thanks for your suggestion. The netbook has a supported Synaptics touchpad, and I have been able to enable tap-to-click by creating a file /etc/X11/Xsession.d/80synaptics with contents

synclient TapButton1=1 TapButton2=3 TapButton3=2
