Hi people,
is there a way to set the gain of the onboard DAC to a slightly higher level ? Currently, I’m using the HifiBerry drivers with a Audiophonics SabreDAC. Maybe that is the reason ?

Wah 2014. Did you ever figure this out? newbie here my little Pi DAC is having the same issue, can raise volume over 20 without blowing the amp directly connected to it. I can work around this by limiting the max volume, but that seems sub optimal. Also tried software volume control (Putty into the Pi and run the mixer to lower db) but that’s also not desirable since software control loses fidelity.
