Apple Music via Airplay

Hi All,

I just set up an RP4 that feeds into a preamp with a DAC. Spotify Connect works great. I can’t get Airplay to work. I’d like to be able to use an Apple Music subscription and Podcasts via Airplay.

The RP4 appears as an eligible device for Airplay, successfully connects but outputs no sound.

Apologies if this is asked a lot. I did a good faith scan of past topics and I couldn’t find an answer w/r/t troubleshooting Airplay.

You should be able to stream your music from any Apple device to a Volumio setup in CD (ALAC) quality, using Airplay.

Airplay works. The culprit is the USB input on my DAC and the latest OS updates.
