ALSA error with raspiaudio / pizeroaudio DAC

I installed my pi zero w with the raspiaudio.com / pizeroaudio DAC and can get sound out with the terminal test, but no such luck from within volumio itself. On playing anything I get the ALSA error.

Does anyone know the correct settings to use with this board?

Volumio system version: 2.348
DAC: raspiaudio.com / pizeroaudio

I have the same DAC ,I set it as Hifiberry DAC works great.

For me, the cure was to go to the Volume Options and set mixer to Software.
