"Add to Playlist": Overwrite or Append?

On the Queue tab, I go to ‘Save’ a song to an existing playlist by clicking the floppy disk icon. The UI pop-up shows “Add to Playlist” and I choose one of my existing playlists. I assume this means that I will append the track to the selected playlist. However, this causes an over-write of the existing playlist and all the original songs are gone!

Is this correct behaviour? If so, how do I append tracks to an existing playlist?

Using 2.118 I could repeat that behaviour. If I add each track from the library to an existing playlist it is append, if I do the same thing in Queue Tab I loose the previous content, only the new tracks are there. That cannot be right!

It is a bug, I would say.
