First post here: I use Volumio on my Raspy 3b with the Abacus Aroio DAC-HAT. Very happy with the sound which beat out the Hifiberry in a direct comparison in my system.
The Aroio allows to separately power it’s digital and analog stages independent of the underlying Raspberry. I have been looking into the Allo Shanti but would need to fix jumper cables to the outputs to connect the Aroio. Also quite pricey.
Does anybody have any experience with powering the Aroio externally and can recommend a power supply?
