I have just purchased my first RPi running Volumio to replace my cumbersome HTPC. I am a music lover and have a large Vinyl collection, I would not call myself a Audiophile. I know from 35years experience I will NEVER recreate a live performance. For me it is out getting the music to sound as real as possible.
I have never owned a CD player and my HTPC running Foobar was my my first foray into digital music. It took my some time to get the music happening to my liking but now the HTPC is my main music source.
