Volumio with IQaudIO DAC Pro GPIO

Volumio Information

Volumio Version: 2.873
Hardware: 3B+
DAC: IQaudIO DAC Pro

Using Pis IQaudIO DAC Pro board with my Pi 3B+ all works well.

I want to use the GPIO plugin (using the GPIO Button by Tom Passer) for song transport using tactile switches

The plugin page is not clear do I need resistors or not for the 3v line and how does this interact with the IQaudIO hat I understand some pins I cant use as the DAC uses them, thats correct?

The hat also uses the 3v line so can I still use it for volume control?

Welcome to Volumio raymate

There is no easy answer to your question. But as a rule of thumb, questions w.t.r hardware are best answered by the manufacture of the hardware

The plugin knows nothing about the hardware connected, and hence you will have to look up the datasheet/ask the manufacture which pins are accessible.

Good luck!

The GPIO pins 2 … 8 are pulled high by default and just need a tactile switch to ground. With the other GPIOs it’s shown here (bottom of the page).

I2S DACs usually use the GPIOs 2, 3 and 4 which can’t be used otherwise then.
