I wanted to visit the high end fair in munich this year for the first time - but due to time constraints I only had a short visit to the so called hifideluxe, a small offspring of the big fair in a hotel nearby. And I have to admit that I was not very impressed of what was on display there.
It was not very crowded - but even a few people running in and out of listening rooms make it impossible have a real listening experince.
The equipment on display may be high end - but the corresponding staff is not. Marketing bullshit bingo all around.
In general I like to listen to a lot of different music - but a lot I have heard there is not my taste and IMHO not the right stuff to demonstrate high end audio.
Next year again ? Propably not ! What is your experince with audio fairs ?
Exactly the same story here. I’ve been twice at Hi-End’s Zurich, and never ever. Apart from what you wrote about staff present, 3 of 4 setups sounded just awful.
