volumio + rpi + touchscreen + zendrive reading problem

Hello!

I am trying to create a simple music player with raspberry, the official rpi touchscreen and an external cd/dvd drive (asus zendrive SDRW-08U9M-U).
Everything works perfectly, except for the cd drive. When I click the NanoSound CD in the browse menu, I get an error message, saying “Cannot detect CD/DVD drive or no CD in drive.” I have tested the drive on my notebook, it works well, the CD is readable. I tought it was power problem, but I was able to mount and read the CD contents through SSH and cli. Can someone give me some advice, what might be the problem?
