Volumio on miix convertible, turn screen

Hi there,

Thank you so much for version 3 of volumio and the very nice manifest-skin.

I tried to install volumio 3 on my old Lenovo Miix 310 convertable and everything works like a charm out of the box!

BUT the screen starts in horizontal-mode while booting and login-screen and turns to portrait after that which is very unpleasent. I tried to find a solution for that but only found some guides that ask for changing a config-file that i never found since the folder-structure i have looks completely different. i do not have internet to install any plugins since it is an old piece of hardware…i looked into the kernel-folder on my drive via an ubuntu-live distibution.

Would be so lovely to make this work!

Greetings from Berlin
Eric

Maybe this topic will help you:

Yes, that is exactly where i am stuck right now. Maybe a stupid question, but what is that ssh and how does it enable me to look at volumio like a normal linux system?

in the (sort of-)solution you were so kind to attacj to your answer they talk about xandr which solved those issues on the same laptop for all the other linux-distibutions i tried on it so far.

Is this part of volumio?

Google knows everything

and it’s a linux related command,

oh thank you! how do i navigate to the mentioned adresses? i only have the volumio interface.

not sure how to make this more clear:

Navigate to http://volumio.local/dev or http://yourvolumioip/dev, where ‘yourvolumioip’ is the actual IP address of your device eg. 192.168.1.54.

I assume you have flashed this tablet with the Volumio OS, or are you playing with the Andriod app?

Yes i have it on the internal ssd drive. i guess that i still did not understand something very simple. i am looking at the user interface. i never managed to leave that and come to a operating systemlike user interface. when i hit alt/tab i can see that volumio is inside chromium browser. but that’s it.
