When trying to activate new device it goes into endless loop of “Configuration Update - Player successfully restarted.” Is there a quick fix or do I need to reinstall from scratch?

My particular issue is not there. Volumio 3 installed without any issues. Now my Rpi won’t connect properly to MyVolumio account. It goes into endless loop of restarting with message of “configuration update player succesfully restarted”. When I deactivate device in MyVolumio and remove it, it then becomes stable.
I reverted back to 3.165 and all is well again. I will wait awhile before I try 3.173 again.
