If you play DSD from network storage, you can try play locally, but I suppose the problem is the audio card, so I suggest to try a USB dac.

Storage and DAc are by USB with a powered HUB

While you are playing DSD, launch from SSH command #top to view CPU and memory utilization. Maybe the DSD files overload the system.

No way to speed up. Try the test, maybe the problem is USB dac. What dac do you use?

CPU usage is low, but the memory is at the limit.
The problem occur with all DSD files?
Have you try to change DSD Playback Mode in audio setting?
Also try reduce Audio Buffer Size.

Bad news. My Apple TV doesnā€™t boot anymore. At the moment I cannot develop a new porting.

Probably I donā€™t buy a ā€œnewā€ Apple TV, so the project is closed.

my ipad 1 works well with the apple tv1 however I can not get it to work when Iā€™m with the PC, nor by IP not by Volumio.local ???
