but for me it doesn´t work.
I´m running build 0.979 and when i start my rpi2 with a iqaudio pi-dac+ and login with ssh as volumio/volumio and type irw my keys are shown excactly like in my lircrc but volumio doesn´t do anything.
can anyone help me please to fix that, i´ve spent a whole day on it and it doesn´t run
i tried but after getting the first line install lirc then it fails, saying not found at the end. Is it just because the differnt IR receiver that causes that. I got a k-022 VS1883B https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087ZRD3LH/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also got the same on the wiring Red 3.v wire to the 3.3v gpio pin/ black wire on the ground pin and the white wire s out to the gpio23 pin
Hi there. Could you find a solution? I followed the instruction on the first post and also got the same error:
volumio@volumio:~$ sudo modprobe lirc_rpi gpio_in_pin=23
modprobe: FATAL: Module lirc_rpi not found in directory /lib/modules/5.10.90-v7+
I guess it is looking in the wrong place for whatever reason. It is not running either:
volumio@volumio:~$ sudo systemctl status lirc.service
Unit lirc.service could not be found.
Originally I flashed the sd card with the img file from volumio.com on raspberry pi 3B (more than a year ago) and just updated to volumio version 3.198 (24. Jan 22).
I’m new to the linux world and not sure how to solve this.
I have the Volumio going and it works, but still problems with the ol’ Ir sensor.
I have a good many of these here from amazon
(Universal IR Infrared Sensor Receiver Module)
First i set the GPIO plugin configuration after selecting JustBoom IR Remote that i have and went down to the GPIO configuration and set the gpio to pin 24 on the Pi 4
Later after i did that, i took one of the IR Infrared Sensor Receiver Module https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087ZRD3LH/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and connect the jumper wire to the Module.
Red to Volt
White to S signal out
and black, which i didn’t have, so i took a green and connected it to ground.
and connected them to 3.3v pin/ gpio24 pin/ ground pin/ on the Pi 4.
Today, i turn on the player and gave the JustBoom remote a try and nothing happen.
