I am running Volumio 2.041 on a Raspberry Pi 3 with a Schiit Modi DAC. Playback works fine, but I cannot figure out how to get software volume control to work (it used to work under version 1 of Volumio). Any suggestions are welcome.
Note: when I add:
dwc_otg.speed=1
to /boot/cmdline.txt and reboot, I cannot play any sound at all. Removing that text from the file and rebooting allows me to play sound (but no volume control).

Same problem with Schiit ASGARD Multibit USB DAC. No volume controle.
