Comments: V-Link is a USB assync unit that also connects to my Emotiva XDA-1 DAC that does not have a assync DAC input. V-Link shows up in Volumio’s “Output Device” section and requires no configuration. Sends all my music files to my Emotiva XDA-1 DAC and then to my system. Sound is wonderful. Tested to 24/192 FLAC file playback. At 24/192 there is minor and very occassional ticks, but on all lower files the playback is flawless.

I had to increase the buffer size and buffer % to have listenable playback on 24/192k. It makes no sense to me that play back is much cleaner from 44.1kHz and 2X, 4X and 8X multiples files than it is off 48kHz and multiples files. Sound quality from Raspberry Pi 3/Volumio is much better than from my Mac Mini using the same DAC and speakers or headphones.
