Update kernel: no risk?

Hi

For Volumio 1.55 on Odroid C1+ is it safe to update the linux kernel to a higher version. Specifically version 3.10.93, instead of 3.10.80? Or would this break anything on Volumio?

I do not know the answer to your question. However, I do know that the Volumio distribution is highly customized. Just compiling and making an app called evrouter that needed X11 and several libraries broke the installation and mpd (among other issues) does not load.

I would definitely do a full backup b4 hand.

Apt-get upgrade breaks stuff on volumio, this is a known issue.
