Now its working with no workarounds… now I just have to fix a different issue with Tidal and My Music Tracks and I’ll be happy lol.
Perhaps the fix could be baked in to volumio? Since Spotify plugin never shows up if you happened to have no connection when your volumio device boots.

I come from a fresh volumio installation and was having the same problem.
The given issue was verified a few times: after reboot, spotify disappeared. A manual relogin was necessary.
After setting the timezone the issue disappeared.
Timezone is mentioned 2 times in this thread, considering timezone as a possible troublemaker. But for me, it is more than that. It solves issue totally.
