[Solved] UDOO I2S Output

Hello. I stumbled on this site today, seeking devices that can output audio over I2S.

I most like the UDOO Quad. In the description on this site, I2S is listed as an audio output. However, I can find confirmation of this anywhere. More specifically, I can’t seem to find a definitive answer as to which pins would carry the I2S output signals.

Can anyone tell me?

Hello, yes UDOO has theoretically an i2s output. The thing is:

1- You should recompile the kernel to enable it. And change the pinmuxing of GPIOs (which are used by Arduino side)
2- You need an i2s driver, which doesn’t exists yet…

Thanks for the definitive answer.

The site lists I2S as an audio output for the UDOO, is that incorrect? I’m certainly not asking you to do this, but is a driver under development?

(UDOO - Audio outputs: 3.5 mm jack, HDMI, i2s, Coaxial S/PDIF)

Again, my most sincere thanks for all your efforts!

Same here, just bought a Quad because of the following line :

Audio out via HDMI, USB, Analog Jack, S/PDIF, I2S

I must have looked first but …

Pretty disappointing
