[Solved] Selective database update

I have a large music library and I often add some item to this library. Volumio is installed on a rPi with the files on an USB HDD.

I wonder whether it is possible to run a selective update, so that mpd scans only a certain path I provide and updates the database consequently.

I know there is a solution which exploits beets but I read that this doesn’t run very fast on rPi.

you need one complete mpd scan
then you also can update only one folder (go to browse on the right side you see three bars, click on then and select update this folder)
