[Solved] SD Card - is this right?

Volumio.tiff (29.7 KB)

Hi,

I have my R Pi and HiFiBerry Digi, but they are not yet connected. I need to get a new soldering iron! I followed the instructions for installing Volumio on an SD card, but I’m not 100% sure I did it right. The attached TIFF show what the SD card looks like in the finder of my Mac. Does this look right to those that know?

Cheers

I could really do with some help here.

I have now assembled my Raspberry Pi and HiFiBerry Digi. It is powered up and connected to the home network via Devolo Homeplug. The SD card is inserted in the Pi and I have entered volume.local/ in my browser. Nothing!

Any comments or advice?

Do you see green lights on pi?
Please install this
http://www.raspyfi.com/wp-content/uploads/BonjourSetup.exe

then you’ll see
http://volumio.local/

Let me know

Hi Michaelangelo,

I see several lights on the Pi including green. I think the Bonjour.exe is for installing on Windows, but I’m using a Mac.

I think I’ve made some progress. I’ve reflashed the card using Pi Filler rather than Pi Writer and the TV screens offerings look more promising. The command prompt is flashing and a little above it is says “volumio” in big friendly letters. I have even seen an IP address. Unfortunately neither the IP address nor Volumio.local will load anything in my browser.
i don’t know whether it’s significant or not, but one bit of text on the TV reads: ping statistics —
1 packets transmitted, 0 received, +1 errors. 100% packet loss, time 0ms
