I’m testing Volumio 3 for media streaming use on my Odroid N2+ and C4. I am trying to find a way to connect to media sources outside of my local network for playback. For example, I would like to have a podcast server that friends could access with their own Volumio devices. Is there a method to achieve this without using a plugin? If not, how would I go about doing it via a custom plug-in?
I have looked though the available plugins, and I believe the Jellyfin plugin could provide the functionality I am looking for. If anyone here has experience using Jellyfin with Volumio, please let me know how it worked out for you.
