Would like to have the volume control on the right side and the settings on the left… The volume will be easier to reach with one hand on the phone and will not be above any text in the right side…

Not a bad idea at all… Let’s make a poll about it… Who would like to have it this way?
It could be a good idea for right handed user…
I’d like a “auto hidden” volume control. Let’s say about 5 seconds with no use, it disappears…
How about making it configurable? Or maybe even drag and drop style like i.e. in Maraschino? 
Feels natural to use the thumb to press or choose something in the right side of the screen… I use a 5.5 inch and can’t reach the vol button where it is now
