raspberry B & Hifiberry, playback settings wrong

I have RaspberryPi model B and hifiberry DAC. It seems some soundcard settings are not working in volumio (beta 1.4):

I have:

  • mixer type: hardware -> cannot change volume
  • resampling: disabled -> 16/44 music displays as 24/44 and cat /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params says S32_LE (!)

I am definitely not sure is my setup playing music bit perfect.Is there any way to force settings? from console?

are you sure that your DAC have a hardware mixer?
if you want to change the volumio via the Web UI try the software mixter (music quality can decrease)

Indeed, I have hifiberry DAC, not DAC+ which supports hardware volume mixer. Ok, this part solved. But now to the more imprtant part:
