I belive it was already discussed, still i’m not able to make it work.
how can i see if the dac module is loaded ? cli ?
config was done like this:

What Volumio version do you use? It should work out of the box in v1.55.
In Volumio 2 DACs aren’t support officially thus requiring a configuration file change.
What configuration file?
i use 1.55
dmesg shows :
udevd[173]: starting version 175
[ 4.526392] snd-hifiberry-dac sound: ASoC: CPU DAI (null) not registered
[ 4.538335] snd-hifiberry-dac sound: snd_soc_register_card() failed: -517
any clue?

Looks like the card isn’t recognised… You could try to reinstall the DAC and see if it works. If it doesn’t a reimage could solve some problems.
reinstall done! now it works as expected…strange…
Re-installing solves many strange issues. Lady Ada once said “reflash on the raspberry pi is like the reboot on windows”
(she hinted that this was the case for most Linux development boards)
