I have a Schiit Bifrost which has a relay that changes the DAC mode when it senses a change in sample rate. If I were to set my Qobuz quality setting to “FLAC Hi-Res 24 bit up to 192 kHz”, does that mean the streams that are not that high will be upsampled to that resolution? Or does it just force a downsample of anything greater than that setting? I want to avoid having the DAC switch modes each time it senses a new sample rate since Qobuz tracks vary greatly. When the DAC switches modes, there is a slight delay before there is sound, which is inconvenient when playing a playlist of varying bit rates.
