Project with PeppyMeter Screensaver Plugin for VOLUMIO v2.9xx and 3.0xx buster

You are copying me, I write it and you copy it

Okay I disable Fusion DSP, and reboot because after disabling Fusion DSP I got an error.
Why do I have to disable Fusion DSP - it is a complete different functionality?

YES, first
“They both using a sound pipe. Fusion DSP is doing it correct and peppy isn’t. Hence why it’s not in the plugin store.”

Your short cornering this.
They both using a sound pipe. Fusion DSP is doing it correct and peppy isn’t. Hence why it’s not in the plugin store.

@Gelo5
You didn’t answer his question… doesn’t count

Yes disabling Fusion DSP ist the Solution.
Now Peppymeter starts.
Wheaten - I understand, now I have to decide nice view or individual sound

Go with the nice view and get a Dell Wyse 3040 for the Fusion DSP part :-).
That’s what I did.
When using my headphones, I use Fusion with the Dell. For normal listening I Use my Peppy box.

On the Dell Wyse 3040 Peppymeter and FusionDSP work together,
or are there other plugins installed?

nope.

Not sure how you get that from this remark.

Current system with peppy and the dell for Fusion. (cheap alternative 64 Euro, looking at todays rPi prices)

So you mean TWO devices in serial.
Hmmm, I’ll think about that.

No Parallel.

Ahhh, now it’s clear

But how to synchronize them.
Do you use two receiver for one remote control?

Aha,

Now I am getting what you’re trying to say or do :flushed:.

What you want is not possible as far as I know.
Was hoping grouping would do the trick, but that just replicates the audio. It doesn’t use the audio settings (or better plugins/manipulation) of the slave device.

If I use my headphones, I use the Dell (with Fusion DSP) as a dedicate device for this purpose. If I listen to my music in my “Audio room”, I have no need for Fusion DSP and just have the eye candy.

Thanks a lot to all helping me,
but I’ll take Fusion DSP instead of PeppyMeter because Volumio is an audio app.
Making two independent devices - one for headphones and another for speakers makes no sense for me.

This chassis works well for that Waveshare 7.9" touchscreen:

Though it’s pretty expensive especially if you will order milling and engraving.
Here is how the chassis looks like with that display:
