The script says, the installation was successful and asks me to activate snapcast.

The message:
Startup failed
Could not start the SnapCast plugin in a fashionable manner.
Restart failed
Restarting snapserver failed with error: Error: Command failed: /usr/bin/sudo /bin/systemctl restart snapserver Failed to restart snapserver.service: Unit snapserver.service is masked.

Thank you
Bernd

Hi Bernd, welcome to Volumio.

You can unmask the service file with sudo systemctl unmask snapserver.service, BUT you could do with knowing why it is masked in the first place. Was it done by the plugin author (@saiyato), or is it the result of something that has occurred in the installation procedure (I don’t know enough about masking to answer that).

It looks like an old version of the plugin I’m afraid, it uninstalls v0.22 of the plugin (which makes sense for Jessie).

There are more problems as of late, I will see if I can plan some extra time to release the new versions I’ve been working on.
