I store my music collection on a couple of USB drives plugged into my RPI. When I add music to the drives my playlists become corrupt. It doesn’t seem to matter whether I remove the drive and add the music from my computer or SSH the files over. I know SSH has it’s risks but I experienced the playlist corruption routinely manually adding the files.
I too have this problem. I had to erase and format everything to restore a playlist. I started from scratch and after a few days of rebuilding my playlist it got corrupted again!
Any time that I add music to my USB drive, my playlist gets corrupted. It has become slightly better in the most recent version. I thought I must be the only one in the world with this problem but thankfully you have responded.
