What’s the purpose of the playback counter? The “clock” advances forward, but the numbers remain at zero. Is this normal?

It doesn’t seem to matter what I play. But then again, there is also either no sound, or very distorted sound. I am still experimenting with the HifiBerry for the Pi B+, so far without success.
I think I’ll wait until this DAC is officially supported.

I think the counter remains to zero because Volumio is not playing music. It can occurs for differents reasons, but I your case seems due to a bad config (driver ?)
