Play DSD files (64 - 128)

Hi There,

In version 2.114 I play DSD files flawlessly. 64 and 128 bit

Now the sound is stuttering only 1 second sound every 2 seconds.

I use Rapberry Pi 2B and Digiberry Pro

Playback options are: (working in version 2.114)
DSD over PCM, Off
Volume normalization, Off
Audio Buffer, 8 Mb
Buffer 10%
Persistent Que, Off

The DSP settings are new to me but this seems nothing to do with stutter less playing from DSD files.

I play a little with the playback options but no success.

What is the problem?

In fact, it was during library building.

The strangest thing now…

Library building is done and now I have no sound at all???

Every file plays perfect but no DSD.

After rebooting I can play DSD but still stuttering.

Is there a way to go back to 2.114 or earlier?

Back to 2.041

DSD 2.82 and 5.64 Mhz play OK now.

same setup as your, same tests, can’t play DSD files with version 2.129…
Hope next version will fix it…

Hi all,

I have the same problem with PI3 and DAC+ Pro (Hi-Res FLAC are playing well).
Is there a way to download a previous version ? On the website only the last version seems available (or i’m too stupid to find it…) .

Anyway, thanks for the amazing work done on the software !

This will need to be checked, as we are having issues with the mpd version.
There was an upgrade to mpd 20.4, but later reversed, not sure if the 20.4 version was actually published and reversed and therefore related to the problems you have.

I encountered the issue and went back to 2.041 too. My audio configuration settings are the same as well.

Where did you download the 2.041 image ?
i can’t find it anywhere.

I took it off GitHub but can’t remember if this zipped file is the one, you can try: github.com/volumio/Volumio2/releases.

I have the same problem to play DSD file after upgrade to the latest version.

Test version 2.141 and it not work.
Can be solved with update to last version of mpd?
