I have occasional problems with stuttering sound - usually just an occasional “hitch” although sometimes repeated or continuous stuttering - when streaming audio from Qobuz to my Volumio player. I have a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ and an Allo Digione board with the latest version of Volumio, connecting to the Internet via wired Ethernet and gigabit Internet connection. Even if I set buffering to the highest size (12MB) and percentage (40%), it doesn’t seem to make any difference. Sometimes things will work for days without a problem, but some days it is a continuous hitch-fest. If this were a regular PC, I would suspect background processes were soaking up too many CPU cycles, but I am not sure if that is a potential issue with a Pi.
I found a couple of older posts describing very similar issues, but no resolution was ever confirmed. Does anyone have any ideas, or suggestions for resolving the behavior?
