[NOT RECOMENDED!] Plugin and Tweaks Adventures on Buster Betas

Many thanks @fybrox , @ashthespy .
The plugin is working also on buster version with the fix from Fybrox.
This is just great , also album art is ok  Perhaps it could add it again in the pluginstore

Hi,
@Fybrox. Do you encounter issue on volumio 2? On volumio 3.0 the ui from phone becomes stuck and I can longer control volumio. After I stopp the music from locally connect2 display the is ok. I can start another radio station…
This is sporadic.
Edit
When I do volumio status I have observed that after seek keyword a vey long number string. I guess do to this the ui becomes stuck.
When I check this keyword on another radio station the string is composed from 4 or 5 numbers. Somehow in the plugin this string increases very much
Edit 2.
I have started to listen ghe 80s80s Radio From the plugin and the “seek” := 54566 string contained only 5 numbers, but as soon as I have started to play with ui from phone value if the string started to increase… Seek:= 6578…n. And the ui becomes again stuck.
I realy live this plugin because all 80s and 90s are in a common place and the most important is the albumart for every song.
I really appreciate nay help. If I need to do something just pls telll me.
Thanks

Hello !
Yes, I also noticed some bugs under Volumio 2.x :
A serious one when server for metadata answers busy or unavailable, it crashes Volumio.
Another less serious, not blocking I believe, that you notice and I also, in the state of Volumio, in connection with timer settings for songs.
I can watch but I’m running out of time to go fast. I’ll keep you posted here.

Hi Folks,

Is anyone working on the Rotary Plugin for Volumio 3 ?
I noticed i could use the volume control with Hifiberry Digi as of the latest beta release “Volumiobuster-3.067-2021-04-16-pi”
I tried to install the Plugin of Saiyato, but as expected it failed to install on the beta.

Hi!
Some new about Parameq4Volumio !
Attenuation (gain) is set automatically regarding value in PEQ
Additionnal attenuation can be set for each channel.
Now, unlimited number of PEQ! (even if I set a limit to 50 ;-))
Each PEQ can be set to affect Left channel, Right channel or both.
Why 50? Because the plugin can import file from REW and REW export is 20 PEQ max.
So for 2 channels imported, 40 PEQ max.
Format for PEQ in imported file is

Header, whatever it is...
Filter 1: ON PK Fc 58.70 Hz Gain -4.10 dB Q 5.014
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 136.5 Hz Gain -7.00 dB Q 3.115
Filter 3: ON PK Fc 192.0 Hz Gain -6.80 dB Q 2.285
Filter 4: ON PK Fc 197.5 Hz Gain 4.30 dB Q 4.874
Filter 5: ON PK Fc 264.0 Hz Gain 6.00 dB Q 1.786
Filter 6: ON PK Fc 320.0 Hz Gain -4.30 dB Q 4.730
Filter 7: ON PK Fc 667.0 Hz Gain 1.70 dB Q 7.289
Filter 8: ON PK Fc 940.0 Hz Gain -2.80 dB Q 1.994
Filter 9: ON PK Fc 1187 Hz Gain -2.70 dB Q 4.242
Filter 10: ON PK Fc 1764 Hz Gain -0.30 dB Q 6.002
Filter 11: ON PK Fc 1993 Hz Gain -2.70 dB Q 3.659

The plugin can also import Headphone profil from AutoEQ. Just choose the profil you want over 3800 in the scrolling list.
Feel free to test and feedback

Tried this after trouble with Brutefir and Volumio2.

It worked up to a point. I was using 2 sweep wav files, playing through the filters in Volumio, capturing with measurement software, all working. Adjust some filters, sweep again, repeat. Then when I added the last couple of filters, I suddenly get error message “Failed to open audio output.”

Tried removing filters, disabling plugin, reboot, disabling dac, reboot, enable again, reboot etc etc… still not working. Any ideas?

I may have been able to solve and replicate this problem.
First I reinstalled the plugin completely.
Then, it seems like this error occurs if you use L, R, AND L+R filters. The error occured when I added a L+R. Removed it, only leaving separate L and R filters, and after some time it started working again. I also verified that it is not the number of total filters that breaks it. It is the adding of L+R.

Have not tried using only L+R.

What is the version of the plugin?
What is the version of Volumio?
Do you have/use a Myvolumio account?
You don’t need to remove/reinstall the plugin. This is not Windows
The problem comes from Mpd hanging due to a script (not related to the plugin).
It restart after near 90seconds… It is what you saw.
Volumio 3.073 is more stable on that point.

Plugin 0.2.7
Volumio 3.073
Myvolumio Yes

I’m not sure this is the issue. I tried enabling a L+R again, and it stops working. I waited more than 5 mins, still not working. Remove the L+R, and it works again.

Humm, weird as I use it… Can you please send log when it hangs?

Will journalctl work or do you need any other log? Let me know and I’ll try to help.

the best is : Sending logs for troubleshooting - Volumio Documentation

OK - It seems that on some filter types, in this case a high shelving, the interface does not warn you if you set an invalid slope. I had, and this caused the error. I found out when looking in the log. So, not really a bug, but could be prevented better if user is warned when setting invalid values.
